What is Flypt?
Flypt.org is a reverse job board where people can make themselves discoverable to opportunities instead of only applying one job at a time. Users create a profile that highlights what they are looking for, what they offer, and how they want to be contacted, so employers, recruiters, collaborators, or opportunity-makers can find the right people more directly.
What are FlypIntros?
Flypt Intro is the ability to reach out to someone else that has a profile on Flypt. Person A can send an introductory message to Person B. After reading it, Person B can accept or decline the Flypt Intro from Person A. If Person A accepts the invitation, we send both parties (A and B), an email with each others personal contact information. From there, you can both have a private conversation without involving Flypt. We limit the number of Flypt Intros with the intention of promoting a higher quality of serious inquiries.
What is a private slug?
A slug is a short, human-readable piece of text used in a URL to uniquely identify a specific user. It appears at the end of our flypt.org URL path. For example flypt.org/@my_private_slug. For those who set up a unique private slug AND choose to publicly publish their profile, we advertise to search engines your profile page so that you can get picked up in third party search engines.
When do I get a public profile URL (slug), like flypt.org/my_personal_slug ?
When you choose a participation plan (Growth or higher). Preview users do not get a slug. But it's currently free to get started, so it's best to reserve your public slug now.
Can I change plans during Early Access?
Yes. Your selected plan controls your participation limits and permissions.
What is Preview access?
Preview lets you explore quietly. Search is limited (some filters disabled), results may be limited, and you won’t have a public profile or messaging.
How do I get on your weekly podcast?
This is currently in development. Soon, you will be able to express interest to be on our podcast. Each week our producers will select those fitting with the theme, and perhaps do a pre-interview before making a final selection.
